The United States accuses Europe of causing problems for the global economy

The White House’s efforts haven’t been wasted – investors’ major focus has shifted from challenges in the U.S. economy to Europe’s efforts to cope with sovereign debt problems and the banking crisis. ‘The leader of the choir’ voicing concerns about European problems was U.S. President Barak Obama himself, who vented his anger on eurocrats who, in his opinion, were foot-dragging on the settlement of the debt crisis. He said all the problems in the global economy then were related to Europe, and the international community had no real proof that they had dealt in Europe «with their banking system and their financial system as effectively as they needed to.»
